Club Supplemental Feeding Project PDF Print E-mail

Last January 12, 2009, the Rotary Club of Hundred Islands continued the Supplemental Feeding Program in Seselangen Elementary School and Dona Raymunda Verzosa Elementary School, both in Sual, Pangasinan.  The Club Supplemental Feeding Program is co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Los Banos which provided thirteen (13) boxes of the Vitameal and Congressman Arthur F. Celeste of First District Pangasinan who provided six (6) cavans of clean rice.

The first set which lasted until November 2008 was the District Supplemental Feeding Program funded by Matching Grant 64669 with District 9500 and the Rotary Club of Salisbury, Australia.

During the duration of the supplemental feeding program, the beneficiaries will be weighed every month to determine the effect of the Vitameal on the beneficiaries.  The parents of the beneficiaries were the ones who prepare the food serve during the recess at 9:00 in the morning.

It is for the first time that a supplemental feeding program which is one meal a day, five days a week in the whole school year was implemented.
