Billboard on Clean Water PDF Print E-mail

Last February 12, 2009 the Clean Water Billboard finally reached its final destination at the billboard structure in National Highway between Barangay Cabatuan and San Vicente, Alaminos City.  The billboard is made of tarpaulin with dimension of 20 feet by 10 feet. It depicts a drop of water which caused some ripples.  The prominent words printed are “Clean Water… Basic to Life, Rotary’s working on it”

This billboard served as the backdrop at the Welcome Center, Lucap Wharf, during the lunch of the Second Leg of the District 3790 Caravan last January 16, 2009.

This is the second time that the Rotary Club of Hundred Islands undertook a Public Relations project to create aware of the existence of Rotary projects on clean water and the existence of the Rotary Club of Hundred Islands.  The first billboard placed in the same billboard structure was about Polio Plus.

The club would like to acknowledge the welding expertise of SAA Jazz Bergonia who assembled the frame for the billboard.  The free use of the truck of Rtn Sonny Pua in hauling the frame from Manalo Compound in Lecsab, Poblacion, Alaminos City to Cabatuan and San Vicente boundary.  The manpower sent by Rtn Victor Domingo, PP Gus Ferrer, and Rtn Jing Aquino.  To SAA Jazz and Dir Zaldy Palecpec who climbed up the billboard structure to fasten the billboard.  For Pres Henry Onia, incoming President Roy Magno, Rtns Romy Edrada and Jing Aquino for their moral support.
